Republikorp is collaborating with Milkor from the United Arab Emirates (EUA) to develop the Unmanned Combatant Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) 380 combat drone. The plan is for this technology to be adopted in the country and ready to be produced within the next year. According to Republikorp founder Norman Joesoef, his party is very enthusiastic about bringing this technology to Tanar Air. "This collaboration will certainly expand the capabilities of the Indonesian defense industry in the field of combat drones, as well as increase our competitiveness in the military field," said Norman quoted on Friday, 24 February 2023. The UCAV 380 is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) combat drone that can fly for more than 36 hours, with a range of 2,000 km and a wingspan of 19m. Some of its advantages include intelligence action, surveillance, target acquisition, reconnaissance, and weapons such as air-to-ground precision missiles. Norman reveals, “Unlike unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, UCAVs are used for drone strikes and battlefield intelligence.
